July 20, 2010 - Almost a month ago (June 24)
Uisce's fiancée Xrisje gave birth to no
less than 17(!) little rittens. So Uisce is a father now, and one
might consider me a rat-granddaddy. Tonight I went to see Uisce's children,
and they were absolutely adorable. They opened their eyes about two weeks
ago, and by now they are running and climbing around, and eating by
themselves, although they're also still drinking with their mother. One of
the little ratlets is a black hooded boy, which in time will come to live
with me. I have named him Dino Vercotti.
Meanwhile Kraken's date seemed
to have been a failure. His ladyfriend Isabella didn't gain weight, and
thus couldn't be pregnant. My plan was to expand my rat pack with a ritten
from both Uisce's and Kraken's offspring, but because there would be no
offspring from Kraken I would now get two of Uisce's sons. However, last
weekend (July 18) Isabelly gave birth to 10 healthy rittens, so Kraken also
is a father now. Yay! I am yet to choose a ritten from this nest (and come
up with a name), but they're still too small now.
