Lap rats
January 19, 2006 - Yesterday I've washed
Casey, Mink and
Chester for the very first time. (I skipped
Dylan because he's still
recovering from a cold, although he seems
100% cured already.) There usually is no need to wash your rats, washing
them too often may even harm them, but Casey had some "stains" in
his otherwise almost virginally white fur. Of course I used only warmish
water, no soap or anything. Casey seemed to not dislike it, Mink clearly
didn't like it, but Chester loved it, especially the
rubbing-dry-with-a-towel part.
It didn't really help though,
Casey is still slightly stained, but all three
of them are so very soft and cuddly again, even a day later! All the more
reason to sit them down upon my knees, like the true lap rats they
naturally are. :-D
