Goodbye Mink
December 27, 2006 - Today I had to have
Mink put to sleep. He had lost of lot of weight
during the last month, and on and off he had trouble breathing. That's why
I took him to the vet this
morning, and she felt him and even took an
X-ray
picture of his lungs and belly. She found he had a tumor in his neck,
and probably more than one is his lungs and belly. There was also a lot of
liquid in his lungs. There was nothing she could do for him, so with pain
in my heart I agreed to have him put to sleep.
I gave him one last yogurt drop, which he enjoyed while
sitting on my shoulder. Then the
vet gave him an injection, and he
died in my lap. Goodbye, my sweet, little Mink.
